About me
Kamil Kaloush is a FORTA Professor of Pavement Engineering in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Sustainable Engineering at ASU. He is also the founder and past director of the National Center of Excellence on SMART Innovations, and served as the Associate Director, National Transportation Center, University of Maryland, from 2014 to 2018. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Ohio State University and a PhD from Arizona State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer and has more than three decades of experience in pavement research and management services. He is a member of several professional organizations, such as the International Road Federation, and served on the Transportation Research Board executive committee for the Design and Construction Group and chaired the subcommittee on Pavement Materials and the Urban Climate.
